We know that:

(X – A)(X – B) = (X2 – XB – XA – AB)

We know that:

(X – A)(X – B)(X – C) = (X3 – X2B – X2A – ABX – X2C + XBC + XAC +ABC)

In 10 seconds, find the result on the following question:

(X – A)(X – B)(X – C)(X – D)(X – E)(X – F) …….. (X – Y)(X – Z) = ?

The answer is:

Zero ~!

Why ?

Because in the question there will be a (X – X) which will equal to ZERO!

Went to a mamak stall with friends few days ago. Its called Siang Malam 2. It sits behind Seremban’s Jaya Jusco. A perfect spot for night crawlers to hangout after a good movie or watching live football telecast with friends.

There are 3 of us. We ordered Milo Ais, Teh Ais and Teh-O-Limau Ais. We didn’t order any food because its only around 9.30pm and we are still full.

Here’s the bill.

5% service tax RM0.20

So far this is the only mamak I’ve been in Seremban and Melacca who charge service tax.

Besides that I’ve heard that order half-boild egg here cost RM1.30 per egg. I’ll try to order next time.

61 -> 68KG ~!?! I can’t stand it anymore !!!
Just went swimming in a nearby swimming pool. Its a small 25 meter long pool. So I swim 40 laps. 40X 25 = 1KM.

I ate less rice and cut down my supper. Now my weight is around 66.5KG. Hopefully I can get back my nice body

Shrek: Big, Green and Promoting Junk Food

Recently I went to a nearby Mc Donald’s fast food restaurant and ordered a chicken foldover. They were promoting shrek set with nothing much changes except replacing the soft drink from water-mixed-coke to green-colored-with-shredded-lemon-topping and replacing the boxes with the cute fat green ogre boxes.

Besides Mc.Donalds, “Shrek the Third” has promotional deals with dozens of food products: Mars Inc.’s Snickers and M&M’s candy; PepsiCo Inc.’s Sierra Mist drink; and Kellogg Co.’s Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes, Pop-Tarts, Cheez-Its and Keebler cookies.

Shrek is a very well known character in the movie industry targeted to young children as well as adults. However Shrek, the clumsy ogre and his fellow characters are also a health advocator in an anti-obesity campaign, urging children to exercise at least at least an hour a day.

Addition & Subtraction shortcuts 1

If we follow the convetional rules of addition, we will start of by adding the right numbers which is 8 + 2 = 10. So we write 0 and bring 1 to the second right number. Then we add again 9 + 7 + 1 = 17 … and so on.

But take a look at the number 9998. This number is close to 10,000. We can say that:

9998 = 10,000 – 2

Therefore its a lot easier to add 10,000 to 6572 and then substract the result by 2.

Easy ? This method can be extended to adding multiple numbers which is close to a whole number. Take for example:

We can calculate by first finding how much each number need to add to 100. We found that it is 7 , 3 , 2 , 5 respectively from up to down. 7 + 3 + 2 + 5 = 17. Now we can calculate the question above as 400 – 17 = 383.

Average mark

Every parent cares about their children’s academic grades. Grades are calculated on their marks. But how many parents really understand the meaning of average marks ?

If there are 40 students in a class and the average mark is 70. If a student got 75 marks, will the parents grateful because the student are above average ?

If they thought that getting marks above the average means better off than half of the students, then they were seriously wrong. Take for an example:

If the marks for this 40 students are as follow:

100 – 1 ppl

95 – 2 ppl

90 – 4 ppl

85 – 10 ppl

80 – 12 ppl

75 – 1 ppl

35 – 3 ppl

30 – 2 ppl

20 – 5 ppl

The average mark is 70. However. students which scores below 75 marks are only 10 people, and students scores above 75 marks are 29 people. This means that the student who got 75marks ranks 30th of out 40. Is there anything to be grateful of ?

The reason of getting the results shown above, is because the scores have big differences. The average mark is not significant enough to reflect the rankings of the students.
